Stu was born in Los Angeles, California July 24, 1933 to Jules and Sadie Seltzer and died in Phoenix Arizona January 22, 2023. He lived in Los Angeles County before retiring to Phoenix, Arizona in 2016. A graduate of North Hollywood High School, he attended Occidental College and The University of Oregon, where he obtained both Bachelors of Science and Masters Degrees. He remained loyal to The U of O sports teams and was a dedicated “Duck”. Stu was an engaging teacher and businessman, husband, father and grandfather. He taught high school in Pomona and Los Angeles for many years, creating new curriculum for his students and the State of California. Stu’s activity in the family furniture business, Jules Seltzer Associates, enabled him to educate his clients on the origins of classic, contemporary furniture and design. Stu was a Renaissance man. He loved art, music, teaching, and collections of any kind. If you gave Stu two or more of anything, a new hobby was born! Above all, Stu was a kind, compassionate man who loved life.
